Alison Maddaugh | BCSLA, CSLA | Landscape Architect
Alison integrates her Masters Degree in landscape architecture from UBC with a background in fine arts and additional design studies in Sweden and the Netherlands. Alison has over a decade of experience in landscape architecture, and has been with space2place since 2008.
Alison has a unique understanding of outdoor play environments, informed by her research work with the CHILD Project, her master’s thesis, her school ground public art installations, and her studies abroad. She brings a keen eye and creative focus to design places that perform well and look beautiful. Viewing each site through the lens of aesthetics and phenomenology, Alison cultivates the experiential qualities of place.
Alison's selected project experience at space2place includes: Moody Park play space (City of New Westminster), Queen’s Skate Park (City of New Westminster), Chief Mathias Joe Park (City of North Vancouver), SFU Passive House, SFU UniverCity Childcare, Britannia Master Plan (City of Vancouver), People, Parks and Dogs Strategy (Vancouver Park Board), Garden City Play Environment (City of Richmond), and North Vancouver City Hall.
